The Technophobe
Need help researching a WebQuest? Not too sure that you need too much technology? If you need a WebQuest which you don't have to run a marathon or train hard for, the Technophobe is on your side like Nationwide to help you find a great, user-friendly WebQuest!

Need proof? Put our expertise to the test. The evaluations below are from a sample done for our first happy and paying customer, Vanessa Garcia. An esteemed professor at the distinguished University of Texas at San Antonio (beep beep), Mrs. Garcia requested before hiring us that we evaluate and rank three third grade pre-service teachers' WebQuests in the following areas: efficiency, time, group work, user friendly, and attention grabbing. Obviously we did well, so check out our work below!

In third place, with 35 of 50 points, we have Shocking Sharks (low clap). This colorful WebQuest will intrigue viewers with cute animations and a Sea World theme. But don't let Shamu fool you, this site turns out to advertise more for her husband's pool business than for the education of our students. Many links returned nothing more than a sad ERROR message and navigation to the homepage is difficult. (There's no place like home). Computer memory running low? This WebQuest requires additional software downloads to open files. Wanna check it out for yourself? Click here: Shocking Sharks!

Our Runner-Up WebQuest, with 39 out of 50 points, is An Aquatic Adventure. (few cheers and whistles.yay?) This WebQuest, with its colorful presentation, great ideas (light bulb!), good use of time, had great potential for greatness, but fell short. (ouch.) BEWARE! BEWARE! The advertisements alone could create an aquatic nightmare! No happy fish in this sea. Many of the links are broken and it has an ambiguous rubric. We felt it was too grade level specific with not a lot of room for change. However, if advertisements and broken links float your boat, this one's for you! An Aquatic Adventure

And finally, with a whopping 45 out of 50 points, please give it up forrrrrrrrrr (drum roll please.) APPLE TREES THROUGHOUT THE SEASONS! Can Johnny PLEASE come up to the stage? Leave the pot. This WebQuest provided us with the most user friendly format with barrels of opportunity (get it? barrels!) for group work that is easily accessible to teachers and students. The colorful and visually appealing layout comes complete with a navigation bar that stays at the top of the page no matter where you are. Although this WebQuest was created for younger grade levels, it can be easily adapted for higher levels of thinking. (easy as pie. Yum!) Great Job! To see that the apple hasn't fallen far from the tree, click the link! Apple Trees Throughout the Seasons
